Welcome to the Smileycons 6.01 Download Page.  This version was released on May 2007 and represents a minor upgrade over previous version 6.0 that corrects a conflict that some were having with Norton. Do not use this update if you are using Win98/Me; continue to use 5.0

Here is the newest feature list for Smileycons 6.01 (as compared to version 5)

  • Works with Windows Vista and Windows Mail

  • NEW! Now you can drag and drop images from the web right into the program!

  • Signature Editor. Now you can create your own personal handwritten signatures and notes!

  • Updated Support for Windows Live Messenger Support

  • In addition to being able to add your own gif and jpg images, you can also use PNG too!

  • All registered users get a free upgrade to version 6.01 

Please follow the upgrade instructions below carefully!
 Remember, do not uninstall your current version or you will have to re-register the program. if you have lost your registration key, we charge $3.00 for replacement key! 

  1. Exit Smileycons by clicking "File" on the Smileycons Toolbar then "Exit"
    (You must exit Smileycons or you will not be able to upgrade)

  2. Do not uninstall your current version of Smileycons. If you do you'll need to re-register the program. Just install Smileycons 6.01 over your current installation.

  3. If you receive a Windows error message for smilehook.dll, click Ignore; the file installation will proceed normally (click here to see a picture). This is minor error it will not affect your installation.
